The Doubleday Inn is located right on the Gettysburg Battlefield at Oak Ridge (tour stop #3). Enjoy the welcoming charm of an inn filled with the comforts of home cooked breakfasts, cozy quilts, and country antiques. All nine guest rooms are uniquely decorated in English country fashion and tastefully appointed with Civil War accents. Eight of the guest rooms are for double occupancy and one is a single occupancy room. All rooms have a private bathroom.

After enjoying your full country breakfast, plan a day of fun at the various attractions in the area. Of course there are the battlefield tours, but there are also several other activities like these: antiquing in Gettysburg and nearby communities; back roads for biking and trails for hiking; golf courses to challenge all levels; tennis courts; tours of the scenic orchard country including a local winery; and horseback tours and carriage rides.

After a day full of activities, enjoy afternoon tea or cool refreshments in the inn's delightful common rooms or while enjoying the tranquil scenery from the two large patios. For your enjoyment, on selected evenings a discussion will be led by a Civil War historian who brings the Battle of Gettysburg alive with accurate accounts of the historic campaign.

Your hosts will be pleased to arrange your sight-seeing tours and dinner reservations. A gracious combination of hospitality and history assures your stay on the battlefield will be a memorable one.
