Inn at the Walnut Acres Bed and Breakfast
Inn at Walnut Acres
The Inn at Walnut Acres is situated on a 50 acre farm with over five acres of manicured gardens. Your host, homebuilder Richard Payne, has designed an elegant home perfect for a romantic getaway or a weekend stress reliever. Leave your cares behind as you relax in luxury with oriental rugs, paintings, flowers, fine antiques, and thoughtful touches. The entire house is tastefully furnished with period furniture including Chippendale, Henkle-Harris, and Williamsburg reproductions.
The Inn has five guest rooms, all with private baths and central air. The Pineapple Room has a double size four poster pineapple bed and beautiful mahogany furniture. The bathroom has a whirlpool bath and steam shower. The Walnut Room has a gracious queen size walnut centennial high four poster bed and antique walnut furnishings. The walnut panels in this room are from trees from the property. The bath has a whirlpool tub and steam shower. The Victoria Room has a romantic Victorian decor. Enjoy the fireplace, marble top furniture, and a queen size antique walnut high back bed. The bath has a whirlpool tub and steam shower. The Rice Room has a traditional setting with a queen size rice bed, a Chippendale carved centennial cheval mirror and a fireplace.
The Rose Suite is a full size apartment with a private entrance. It has a full size kitchen, dining room, living room, bedroom and private bath. The suite has beautiful hardwood floors and is comfortably furnished. A perfect home away from home for a single evening or an extended stay.
There are several rooms in the house that guests are welcome to use. There is a parlor, library, and large gathering room (great for small indoor gatherings), all furnished with classic elegance. On the lower level is the billiards room where naturally you can enjoy a game of pool. There is also an air hockey game and big screen TV. The room has classic paneling, a gas fireplace, and a wet bar with fridge. The lower level also has a full bathroom and a dry sauna.
Breakfast is a sumptuous affair with linens, fine china, and heirloom crystal. Country courses are carefully chosen and prepared for your pleasure.
The beautifully landscaped gardens offer many lovely areas for your outdoor affair. Weddings, reunions, and special gatherings from ten to two hundred guests can be accommodated. There are gazebos, a large pavilion, and a grape vine covered arbor located throughout the gardens. Walnut Acres offers a beautiful setting for your special event.
