Gettysburg is known for the battle that took place here on July 1-3, 1863. This was the bloodiest battle ever fought on United States soil. A large section of the area here is a National Park. There are many great museums and quaint shops all around town. There are several bed and breakfast establishments, campgrounds, and hotels that offer great places to stay while visiting here. |
