Location of Newhart's Iron Horse Inn at Old Spring Farm Newhart's Iron Horse Inn at Old Spring Farm The Iron horse Inn is located in a completely refurbished Pennsylvania Dutch style barn on a Civil War farm five miles from the Gettysburg National Battlefield. This 65 acres of scenic privacy is great for a romantic weekend get away or a vacation rental. Come enjoy a true country experience on this working farm. There are two nicely furnished bedrooms. The Traveler Room has an iron bed and the bathroom has a large Jacuzzi garden tub and double sinks. The Cincinnati Room has a lovely canopy bed and the bathroom has a shower/tub combo. Both rooms are spacious and have TV, phone, and alarm clacks. All the TV's in the house are hooked up to satellite. The large gathering room has a fireplace and big screen TV. A nice large room with comfortable furnishings, you will feel at home. The kitchen is spacious with a table and chairs so you can enjoy a meal in a less formal setting. This is a complete kitchen that guests are free to use. The formal dining room adds elegance to any meal. There is also a half bath by the dining room. Downstairs enjoy the large recreation room. Be careful, the comfortable couch may have you snoozing! The big screen TV in here is also on satellite. There is a beautiful wooden bar plus a full size pool table and air hockey. There is kitchen space down here, too. Savor a full country breakfast with farm fresh eggs, home fries, and breakfast meats. A great way to start you off on a day of activities around the area. Or you can spend the day laying by the swimming pool and enjoy a day on the farm. You can choose to rent one bedroom for a romantic weekend or rent the whole house for a group or family vacation. You have full use of the house and lots of privacy. Your hosts live in the Civil War house next door. They will gladly assist you with planning your day's activities. |
