1 cup rice, cooked
2 cups ground meat
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon salt
hot water
1 medium-sized cabbage, leaves separated


Wash the rice thoroughly and cook. Blend with meat, salt and pepper and form in rolls. Roll in a leaf of cabbage. Place rolls in buttered casserole, cover with hot water, cover and bake in a moderate oven until done.
