4 beef or pork cube steaks
1 tablespoon cooking oil
4 ounces Bulk Italian sausage
cup chopped onion
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
3/4 cup apple juice
teaspoon garlic salt
teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons cornstarch
hot cooked, buttered noodles
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese


In skillet, brown steaks in hot oil; remove from pan. In skillet, cook sausage and onion till meat is browned; drain. Add tomato sauce, apple juice, garlic salt, oregano, and pepper. Heat and stir to boiling. Add steaks to skillet. Cover; simmer 10 minutes. Remove meat; keep warm. Mix cornstarch and 2 tablespoons cold water; stir into skillet. Cook and stir till bubbly. Serve meat with sauce over noodles. Top with Parmesan cheese.
