1 pound ground chuck
1 onion, finely chopped
6 bell peppers
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 pound low fat smoked sausage
2 cups minute rice, cooked
1 teaspoon garlic powder
8 ounces tomato sauce
1 teaspoon canola oil


Cook minute rice. Sauté ground chuck, sausage, onion in 1 teaspoon canola oil. Add black pepper, garlic powder, salt. Combine meat mixture, rice, tomato sauce. Scald bell peppers for about 8 minutes. Stuff peppers with meat mixture. Put a small amount of water in bottom of a baking dish. Place stuffed peppers into baking dish. Bake in preheated 350° for 30 minutes.
