1 pound ground beef
1/4 pound ground pork
1 egg
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup fine dry bread crumbs
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon onion seasoning


Combine egg with milk, crumbs and seasonings and allow to stand until moisture is absorbed. Add to meat and stir only until blended. Shape into small balls (mixture is soft) and brown in a small amount of fat over moderate heat. Add 1/4 up of hot water, cover and cook for about 10 minutes. If desired, a sauce can be made from drippings in the pan, a little flour and beef stock.
