Ingredients:

1/2 recipe sweet foundation dough
2 tablespoons melted butter or margarine
1/2 cup granulated or brown sugar
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup raisins, if desired

Directions:

When dough is light, roll into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick, brush with melted butter, then sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon which have been sifted together. Sprinkle with raisins, roll up as for jelly roll and seal the edges. Cut in 1-inch slices and place, cut side down, in a well-greased pan, placing rolls almost together. Let rise until doubled in bulk, then bake in a 350-degree f. oven for about 30 minutes, or until done. Frost with a thin confectioners' sugar frosting, if desired. This will make 1 1/2 dozen rolls.

Variations:

  1. For sugar and cinnamon topping, brush cut dough with melted butter and top with a mixture of 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon.
