1 cup melted butter
3 cup sugar
5 eggs
2 cup mashed pumpkin
3 cup flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla
chopped nuts
4 cup powdered sugar
2 teaspoons orange juice
1 teaspoon grated orange rind


Cream 1 cup butter and sugar together in bowl. Beat in 4 eggs and pumpkin. Sift next 5 ingredients into batter, mixing well. Add cup water, vanilla and nuts, mixing well. Pour into 2 large loaf pans. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Combine powdered sugar with remaining cup butter, egg and orange juice and rind in bowl, mixing well. Spread over warm loaf.
