2 eggs
1 cup milk
4 table spoons or 1/4 cup butter
2 cups sifted flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar


Sift together the dry ingredients. Add the lightly beaten eggs and blend quickly into a smooth mixture. pour into well-greased muffin tins and bake 20 to 25 minute in 425 degree F. oven.

  • Date muffins- Use 3/4 cup cut blended with a little of the sifted flour.
  • Berry muffins- Use 3/4 cup canned berries, drain off juice. Blend with flour.
