Ingredients: 1/2 recipe sweet foundation dough Directions: When dough is light, roll into a rectangular sheet about 1/2 inch thick. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon and 1/2 cup of chopped nuts. Roll as for jelly roll, sealing the edges firmly. Shape into a ring on a greased baking sheet and seal the ends. Cut through the ring with a scissors or sharp knife at about 1-inch intervals, almost to the center. Turn each slice slightly on it's side. Brush with melted butter, cover and let rise until doubled in bulk. Bake in a 350-degree F. oven about 30 minutes, or until done. Frost while still warm with thin confectioner's sugar frosting and sprinkle with the 1/4 cup of chopped nuts. |
