1 cup sifted flour
1 cup buckwheat flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups milk
3 tablespoons butter, melted


Beat eggs, add milk, stir in sifted dry ingredients. Add shortening. Blend well. Bake in ungreased hot griddle. Serve with hot syrup and butter.
