2 cups flour (sifted)
1 1/2 cups sweet milk (scant)
3/4 teaspoon salt sifted with flour
3 eggs, yolks and whites beaten separately
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
3 tablespoons melted butter


Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar together. Beat yolks of eggs, add flour mixture alternately with milk. Just before baking, add butter and fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Use hot griddle. For thick cakes, use 1 to 1 1/3 cup.
