Ingredients:

2 eggs
2 cups sour milk
2 1/2 cups flour, sift then measure
3 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
4 tablespoons butter, melted over hot water
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions:

Follow griddle cake recipe. Sift together dry ingredients. Add sour milk and beaten egg. Have griddle hot, syrup hot, platter hot. Use a soap stone griddle which should never be washed but cleaned thoroughly with salt and keep griddle in covered bag when not in use. Try using half cup of salt in clean thin white bag, rub bag back and forth over griddle after each baking.
