6 buttered toast rounds
Anchovy paste
1 1/2 cups medium white sauce
6 poached eggs
1 cup shredded American cheese (1/4 pound)


While eggs are poaching, add cheese to white sauce and stir over low heat until the cheese is melted. Spread toast rounds with anchovy paste, top with eggs, then with hot cheese sauce and serve at once.

Makes 6 servings
