1 1/2 cups sugar
2/3 cups granulated sugar
Cream butter, add sugar, beaten egg yolks. Dissolve cocoa in part of hot milk and cool. Sift soda and flour, add alternately with milk. Add flavoring. Pour into 2 8-in. greased pans, bake in 375 degree F. oven 25 minutes.
Cook in double boiler to form custard. Spread between layers, cover with chocolate frosting. Add nuts and vanilla after custard cools.
