Cocoa Cake with Sour Cream #2
Ingredients:
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 tablespoons cocoa
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups thick sour cream
1 teaspoon soda
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Beat eggs well, add sugar, salt and cocoa sifted together. Add soda dissolved in little hot water, sift flour 3 times, and add alternately with cream. Flavoring. Mix thoroughly, and bake in moderate oven.
Frosting:
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1/2 cups water
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Boil until thread stage. Pour into 2 stiffly beaten egg whites. Add flavoring, spread on cake when cool.
