1 1/2 squares unsweetened chocolate
Melt chocolate in a small double boiler, then remove from the boiling water, add the sugar and water and blend. Add egg and beat well. Then add butter, a tablespoon at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition. This will make enough frosting to cover the tops of 12 cream puffs or chocolate éclairs or 1 Boston cream pie. Double the recipe to frost a loaf or layer cake.
