Ingredients:

4 whole eggs
2 cups sugar
2 cups sifted pastry flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla, lemon, or almond extract
2 tablespoons butter
1 cup hot milk

Directions:

Beat eggs thoroughly, slowly add sugar, beating constantly. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Add flavoring. Blend to smooth batter, bake in 325 degree F. oven 55 minutes in ungreased angel cake tin.
