Ingredients:

4 1/4 cups sifted cake flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 pound butter
2 1/3 cups sugar
7 eggs
1/2 teaspoon extract of almond
1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

Sift flour once, measure and resift twice with the salt and nutmeg. Cream the butter, add the sugar gradually and cream together until very light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add sifted dry ingredients gradually, beating until smooth after each addition. Add flavorings and blend. Pour batter into greased and paper lined loaf pans about 9x5x3 in size and bake in a 325 degree oven

about 1 hour, or until done.
