2 cups sifted cake flour
Sift flour once, measure and resift twice with the baking powder and salt. Cream the shortening, add the sugar gradually and cream together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add the sifted dry ingredients alternately with the milk, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla and blend. Bake in 2 greased 8-inch layer cake pans in a 375 degree oven for about
25 minutes, or until done. Frost as desired.
