1 can 6½ ounces evaporated milk
Combine first 3 ingredients in saucepan, mixing well. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, to 248° on candy thermometer. Mixture will curdle. Add next 2 ingredients. Cook stirring constantly, to 238° on candy thermometer. Remove from heat and stir in salt and pecans. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto foil. Wrap pieces individually in plastic wrap after cooling.
