2 cups sifted flour, less if possible
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/3 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup brown sugar, pack in cup
1 egg
1 tablespoon cream
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla


Blend 1 cup flour, baking powder, salt. Cream butter, beat in sugar. Beat in egg, vanilla and cream. Stir in flour, and enough flour to make dough stiff enough to roll. Wrap in waxed paper, chill several hours. Place on lightly floured boards, roll 1/8 inch in thickness, use floured cutter. Place in ungreased baking sheet, sprinkle with granulated sugar. Bake about 8 about minutes in 375 degree F. oven. When cold, keep in covered tin box.
