2 tablespoons melted butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/8 teaspoons salt
2 1/2 cups rolled oats
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon almond extract


Cream the butter and sugar together. Add the egg yolks and beat briskly, then the rolled oats, salt and baking powder blended together. Add the flavoring and stir in the beaten egg whites. Blend the mixture and drop from spoon on a baking sheet. Leave room for spreading. Bake about 10 minutes in a 375 degree F. oven.
