Christmas Cookies

Ingredients:

1 cup butter
2 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla, lemon, or almond extract
1/2 cup blanched almonds
2 1/2 cups sifted flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:

Cream butter, add sugar then well beaten eggs, nuts and vanilla. Sift flour, salt, cinnamon, and baking powder and mix thoroughly. Roll on floured board, cut in fancy shapes, brush over dough with egg white. Bake in greased pan in 375 degree F. oven about 10 minutes.
