1 cup sugar
2 cup butter, softened
2 cup peanut butter
1 egg
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 1/2 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons cream of tartar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
about 7 tablespoons jelly

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugar, butter, peanut butter, egg and vanilla until fluffy. Stir in flour, baking soda, salt, cream of tartar, and cinnamon. Shape dough by teaspoonfuls into 1 inch balls. Place on baking sheet; press thumb firmly into center of each. Bake until set, 12-15 minutes. Remove from baking sheet, cool. Just before serving, fill center with jelly.

Makes 3 1/2 dozen cookies
