Chocolate Bread Pudding
Ingredients:
2 cups dry bread crumbs
4 cups scald milk
3 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/3 cup cocoa
2/3 cup sugar
Cream Sauce:
1/2 pint cream
1/3 cup milk
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
Put bread, milk and cocoa in bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of butter. Beat eggs, sugar and salt. Blend all ingredients and pour into pudding dish, bake in slow oven about 40 minutes placing dish in hot water. Serve with cream sauce or whipped cream.
Cream Sauce:
Beat egg whit until stiff, add milk, beaten yolk, sugar, vanilla and cream.
