4 egg yolks
3/4 cup maple syrup
3 cups milk
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1 teaspoon maple flavor
4 egg whites
1/8 teaspoon salt


Beat egg yolks, add maple syrup and milk. Add maple flavor. Place egg whites and salt on platter and beat stiff. Fold custard into whites. Fill buttered custard cups. Place in pan of hot water and bake in moderate oven, 325 degrees F., until firm.
