2 pounds apples
1 pound suet
2 pounds seedless raisins
2 pounds brown sugar
1/2 pound citron
1/4 pound lemon peel
1/2 pound orange peel
juice and grated rind of 2 lemons
1 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 pint boiled cider


Blend thoroughly all ingredients. Heat to boiling point, boil 2 minutes. Fill hot sterilized jars and seal. Add 1 teaspoon lemon extract. Use as filling for mince pies.
