14 marshmallows
1 cup milk, scald
2/3 cup crushed peppermint stick candy
few grains salt
1 cup whipped cream
1/2 teaspoon vanilla


Dissolve marshmallows in hot milk, stir well. When cold, stir in remaining ingredients. Pour into refrigerator tray. When partly frozen, after 1 hour, beat mixture thoroughly, return to freezing until firm. To serve for luncheon, chill overnight. Grown pecan brittle candy, or ground chocolate chips may be substituted for the peppermint.
