2 cups milk
1/4 cup butter
1/3 cup sugar
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1/2 cup cooked rice
3/4 cup raisins
1 teaspoon vanilla


Scald the milk, add the butter and sugar. Cool. Slowly stir into the beaten eggs and add remaining ingredients. Pour into a buttered pudding dish, set in pan with hot water, and bake in a slow oven until the custard is firm about 45 minutes.

Serve with cream.
