2 eggs
4 teaspoons melted butter
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped figs
1/2 cup chopped dates
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon grated lemon rind
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 cup flour, sift before measuring
1/2 teaspoon soda dissolved in little hot water and
last, 1/4 cup milk


Cream butter and sugar, add well-beaten eggs, then chopped fruit, blended with little flour. Butter mold, fill 2/3 full. Cover with waxed paper, steam 1 1/2 hours. Serve with Foamy Pudding Sauce.
