French Poufs

Ingredients:

1/3 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1-½ cup sifted flour
1-½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon nutmeg
½ cup milk
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:

Combine shortening, ½ cup sugar and egg in bowl, mixing well. Sift next 4 ingredients together. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition. Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Dip immediately in melted butter and then in mixture of ½ cup sugar and cinnamon.
