Ingredients:

cup water
cup sugar
1 cup flour
1/3 cup shortening
1/3 cup water
teaspoon salt
apple slices
cinnamon
sugar

Directions:

Mix cup water and sugar in 9x9 pan. Set aside. Mix flour, shortening, 1/3 cup water, and salt. Roll out very thin; divide into 4 squares, fill each with apple slices, seal edges; place in pan. Sprinkle each heavily with cinnamon; lightly with sugar. Bake at 400 until bubbly. Then turn oven down to 350 until golden brown. Entire cooking time is about 1 hour.
