3 tablespoons butter
2/3 cup light brown sugar
few grains salt
3/4 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup top milk
3 eggs
3/4 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup chopped pecans
1 unbaked pie shell


Cream butter, slowly beat in sugar, salt. Add eggs, one at a time, beat briskly. Blend entire mixture. Pour into pastry lined pie tin. Bake 10 minutes in 450 degree F. oven, reduce heat to 350 degree F., bake until custard sets, about 30 minutes. Serve plain or with sweetened whipped cream. Add pecan halves over top of pie.
