Cucumber Pickles

Ingredients:

2 ounces white mustard seed
2 ounces black mustard seed
2 ounces juniper berries
2 ounces celery seed
1 gallon vinegar
1 peck cucumbers
1/2 quart small onions
2 pounds sugar
1/2 dozen small green peppers
mixed spices

Directions:

Put peck inch long cucumbers in salt and water, cover tightly, let stand 3 days. Put seeds in bags and boil 15 minutes in 1 gallon vinegar. Add small piece alum and pour hot over cucumbers which have been removed from water. When cool, heat again several times until ready for use.
