3 cut oranges
grated rind of
1/2 orange and
1/2 lemon
12 peaches
little lemon juice
3 1/2 pounds sugar


Skin and slice peaches. Slice lemon and orange thin and lengthwise. Boil lemon and orange with a little peach juice, about 30 minutes. Add peaches taking 1 part fruit to one sugar. Cook about 30 minutes. Drain through colander and cook juice to desired thickness. Add peaches last 5 minutes; in this way fruit is not overcooked.
