1 peck green tomatoes
6 onions
6 green peppers
2 dozen green cucumbers
1 cup grated horse-radish
1 tablespoon cloves
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon dry mustard
1 tablespoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1 tablespoon turmeric
1 1/2 pounds sugar
mixed spices


Chop all ingredients fine, add 1/2 cup salt, let drain overnight. In morning add 2 quarts vinegar and cook. Add spices, and sugar. Cook all together slowly until quite thick. Place in hot sterilized jars and seal.
