Ingredients:

4 quarts currants
2 pounds granulated sugar
1 pint vinegar
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon cloves
2 teaspoons cinnamon
mixed spices

Directions:

Wash, stem fruit, make syrup of sugar, vinegar, spices, spices, boil 15 minutes. Add fruit, cook until mixture is thick and transparent. Seal in hot sterilized jars.
