1 gallon ripe tomatoes (sliced)
5 level tablespoons salt
2 level tablespoons pepper
1 teaspoon mace
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
2 large onions (sliced)
1 cup light brown sugar
1 quart apple vinegar
1 large tablespoon dry mustard
mixed spices


Use whole spices, tie in cloth, simmer gently all ingredients about 4 hours. Strain. When cold pour into sterilized jars.
