2 packages Cajun gumbo base mix
4 quarts water or broth
3 pounds small shrimp, cocktail
3 cups ham, chopped
3 cups smoke sausage, chopped
1 can crab meat
2 cups celery, chopped
2 cups onion, chopped
2 cups cooked chicken, diced
salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste


Combine Gumbo mix and 2 cups warm water until mix is completely dissolved. Place remaining water in a large pan and bring to a boil. Add gumbo mix and let simmer for 15 minutes. Sauté onion, celery and add to mixture. Add remaining ingredients and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand for 20 minutes.

Serve over cooked rice.
