Heat about a 1/2 cup of oil in skillet pan. Drop mixture in hot oil by the spoonfuls. Cook about 3-4 min on each side tell lightly browned. Serve hot. (The fresher the clam, the better the fritter!) Crabmeat can be used in place of clams.
