Baked Beans
Ingredients:
3 cups white beans
3/4 pound fresh salt pork
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
1 teaspoon ginger
2 tablespoons molasses
salt and black pepper to taste
1 tablespoon brown sugar
paprika
pepper
Directions:
Soak beans overnight. Rinse, drain in morning. Cover with cold water, boil 15 minutes. Drain. Put beans in buttered baking dish; add other ingredients and sliced pork scaled. Place pork in beans with rind exposed. Cover with boiling water, bake 6 hours. Remove over 30 minutes to brown. Serve with chili sauce and brown bread.
