5 to 6 cups crumbled cornbread
6 cups soft bread crumbs
1 cup butter
1 cup diced celery
1/2 cup minced onion
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 teaspoons salt
1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons poultry seasoning or sage
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup chopped pecans
3/4 to 1 cup water or stock


Melt butter and drippings, add onion, celery and green pepper and cook 5 minutes. Combine with remaining ingredients and toss lightly. Moisten slightly with water.

Makes enough for a 12 pound turkey.
