1 head solid cabbage, chop
3 tablespoons shortening
1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon mustard


Blend all ingredients, cover with boiling water and cook 30 minutes. Remove from heat. Blend 1 beaten egg, 1 tablespoon flour and 1/2 cup cider vinegar and stir into cabbage.
