2 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 green pepper, finely chopped
2 tablespoons ketchup
dash of garlic seasoning
1/2 teaspoon onion seasoning
1 can 16 ounces kidney beans
1/2 pound process American cheese, sliced or shredded
crisp toast triangles


Melt butter in the top of the double boiler over direct heat. Add the pepper and cook and stir until softened. Add seasonings, beans and cheese and place over boiling water. Cook and stir occasionally until the cheese is melted and the mixture is thoroughly heated. Serve on hot toast.

Make 5 to 6 servings
