6 to 8 medium potatoes
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/3 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 cups milk


peel potatoes. Thinly slice potatoes; measure 6 cups. Place half of the potatoes in a greased 2-quart casserole. Add half the onion. Sift half the flour over vegetables in casserole; sprinkle with half the salt and pepper. Repeat layers. Pour milk over all. Cover and bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 1/4 hours. Uncover and continue baking 15 to 30 minutes longer or till potatoes are done.
