8 ounces medium noodles
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup slivered blanched almonds
poppy seeds


Cook noodles in boiling salted water until tender, then drain and rinse in hot water. Meantime, heat butter in a skillet, add almonds and cook and stir until the slivers are golden. Add to noodles, tossing the butter carefully through the strands. Pile into a serving dish and sprinkle with poppy seeds.

Makes 6 servings
