Location of White Pass Ski Resort White Pass Ski Resort In the fall of 1955, White Pass was finishing up the installation of the Pigtail chairlift and getting ready to make their debut as the White Pass Company, Inc. White Pass ran rope tows from 1952 until 1955 under the auspices of the Yakima Ski Club. A number of those founding members still hit the slopes today. White Pass is located in Washington's Cascade Mountains and has 5 lifts and night skiing. The Mahre brothers, Phil and Steve, grew up in the area and learned to ski here. All runs are accessible from the top, groomed cruisers to precipitous pitches. White Pass features a Terrain park with halfpipe available for snowboarding at the area. The cross country area is groomed, double-tracked with a 10-foot skating lane. There is no lodging available on-site. There are kitchen-equipped condos are within walking distance of the ski slopes and Nordic trails. White Pass is located 12 miles SE of Mt. Rainier National Park at the summit of US Hwy 12 White Pass.
